The discussion questions for the first screening

Dear PIFS member,

Here are the discussion questions for the first screening "Big Fish".
Please share your comments with us! Please remember, every good movie needs a bosom friend!

1. Do you think Edwards' stories are true? Why?
2. What do you think is Edwards' attitude of life? How did you find that?
3. The title Big Fish seems not having much relationship with the whole story. What do you think about this? Does the title have any hidden meanings?
4. Some people simply think that the stories told in the movie are plain, like a children's play, only making some fun, what is your opinion?
5. Tim Burton (the director of the film) has directed several fancy films, such as "Charlie and the chocolate factory"; "Corpse Bride"; "Edward Scissor hands" etc. Do you like the fancy style of his work? Why?

PIFS First Screening of the New Semester

Congratulations to the PIFS team for a very successful screening of the new semester.

Many people came up to me after the movie to tell me how much they had enjoyed watching Big Fish, and we once again had a big audience through the hard work of the PIFS team.

The one disappointing note is that the Theatre Lounge is temporarily closed, meaning that at present there is no place to hold discussions.

However, the wonders of the Internet means that now we can hold our discussions online! Watch this space for more information about the next screening, Crash, on Thursday 5th October.

After the screening discussion questions will be posted here and all are welcome to contribute their thoughts.
