Plot Summary: The Illusionist

Eisenheim (Edward Norton) is a magician in early 1900's Vienna, who falls in love with the Duchess Sophie von Teschen (Jessica Biel), who is well above his social standing. Although the two are forbidden to see each other, they meet in a secret hideout in the woods. However, on the day when they are going to leave, Eisenheim is unable to fulfill a request made by Sophie and the two are separated. He then becomes a master illusionist and travels the world. When Sophie becomes engaged to Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell), Eisenheim uses his powers to free her and undermine the stability of the royal house of Vienna.
